Accommodation Information
For those looking for a relaxing stay in an attractive hotel, the Davvi hotel comes highly recommended. Occupying a privileged position on a quiet secluded hillside, the hotel is just on the Finnish side of the border with Sweden, approx 1.5km from the Swedish village of Karesuando.
The hotel is well run by friendly, conscientious staff, who do their utmost to ensure that you enjoy your stay to the full. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious.
The beautiful restaurant is the centrepiece of the hotel and affords spectacular panoramic views across the snow-covered hillside over to the attractive village on the Swedish side of the border.
The design of the restaurant is inspired by the tent building traditions of the nomadic Lappish people with its roughly circular shape and ceiling beams each pointing towards a centre point.
