Resort Information

Levi Fell offers a wide range of exciting winter sports, from husky dog treks and ice fishing to snowmobile rides and hot air ballooning. This wide range of activities will appeal to all age groups and the adults are as well catered for as the children.

There is also a great variety of ski slopes, 48 in total, 15 of which are floodlit. The resort can also proudly boast to be the home to the only gondola lift in the whole of Finland. For the beginners, adults or children, there are great ski schools and nursery slops. For the experts, the resort is home to four ‘black’ slopes that will test even the most gung-ho skier.

The view from the top of the fell offers stunning views of Aakenustunturit and Pallastunturi. To the north of Levi centre is the village of Sirkka, where local people live and work under the shadow of the magnificent Levi Fell mountain.

Being so far North, the village is home to the famous Midnight Sun during summer and the incredible Aurora Borealis during the winter.

There is a first rate selection of local delicacies to be found in the restaurants. Worth trying is the Riekko (Willow Grouse) and the delicious Nieria (Artic Char). Usually eaten with mashed potatoes these dishes are the perfect hearty meal to round off a hard days sightseeing or skiing.
