23 December

CHECK IN AT your UK airport and collect your special boarding pass. You'll depart around 10am and arrive at Enontekio airport in the late afternoon. Local guides will greet you before the 45-minute journey to the Davvi Arctic Lodge.Along the way, we'll stop to collect your included all-in-one thermal suits and boots, an essential part of your holiday package. Please note that hats, scarves and gloves are also necessary but are not included.

In the early evening, your Transun representative will host a welcome meeting when they will discuss your break in further detail and answer any questions. After dinner, you might like to join one of our optional activities, such as a night safari, perhaps encountering the Northern Lights. See page 14 for full details of our optional activities.

Christmas Eve

AFTER BREAKFAST, WE head into the grounds of the Davvi Arctic Lodge where our snow fun activities include tobogganing down the slopes, guiding your own stiga (toboggans with steering wheels), kick-sledging and the tandem skis. Or you can try scoring goals at snow hockey, test your strength in tug-of-war, or enjoy an old fashioned snowball fight. And youngsters can take a couple of laps on the supervised kid's snowmobile track (see page 48). Activities are available throughout the day. Lunch can be taken at the Davvi Arctic Lodge at leisure. If you want to warm up inside, Mrs Claus needs some help in preparing party hats and crackers for the Christmas Dinner tomorrow. Or you can enjoy quality family time in the Sámi Lounge, playing one of the many board games available.

The highlight of the day will be when, with your special boarding pass in hand, you join Santa's own reindeer sleigh and set off in search of Father Christmas. During a private family meeting with Santa, each child has the chance to talk with Santa and will receive a small gift. This evening at the Davvi Arctic Lodge, there will be a host's cocktail reception, followed by dinner. Then relax playing one of the board games or you might like to join one of our optional activities.

Christmas Day

A WHITE CHRISTMAS in the home of Father Christmas - what a joy! After breakfast, you'll experience your first Santa safari, either a 5km Husky Safari or a 1.5-hour Snowmobile Safari. On your return, a warming buffet lunch will be Most people will be familiar with the story of Hansel and Gretel. Now you can decorate your own gingerbread house. Each family will be provided with gingerbread, icing and decorative sweets to enable you to construct your house. The houses will be judged by the manager before dinner, with a prize for the best one. Outside, tobogganing, kick sledges and stigas will be available, or you can join in one of our optional excursions. Fancy visiting another country this evening? Then join us on a walk to the local church, on the Swedish side of the border, the most northerly church in Sweden. After a short welcome by the local vicar and carol singing, we will head back to the Davvi Arctic Lodge for a Christmas dinner, complete with crackers, party poppers and blowers, finishing off with Christmas puddings and mince pies!

Boxing Day

AFTER BREAKFAST, WE check out before participating in our final Santa safari. A 5km Husky Safari or a 1.5-hour Snowmobile Safari, whichever you did not join yesterday. Then we have a small amount of time left to have a last go at tobogganing or join one of our optional excursions. After lunch at the hotel, we depart for Enontekio and our flight home.
