26 December

CHECK IN AT your UK airport and collect your special boarding pass. You'll depart around 10am and arrive in Enontekio late afternoon. Local guides will assist you to your coach for the 45-minute journey to the Davvi Arctic Lodge. En route, we stop to collect your included all-in-one thermal suits and boots. Temperatures here range between -7C and -35C in December and the thermal suits and boots are an essential part of your holiday package. Please note hats, scarves and gloves are also necessary but not included. In the early evening, your Transun representative will host a welcome meeting and endeavour to answer questions. Tonight, you might like to join an optional activity, such as a night safari, perhaps encountering the Northern Lights. See page 14 for full details.

27 December

AFTER BREAKFAST, YOU head out on your first Santa safari, either a 5km Husky Safari or a 1.5-hour Snowmobile Safari. After lunch, those with older children can try a stroll on snowshoes. Those with younger children can join the snow activities including tobogganing, kick sledges, stigas (toboggans with steering wheels for youngsters) or old fashioned snowball fights! Alternatively, you can join one of the optional excursions or keep warm inside enjoying festive craft activities. This evening join us on a walk to the local church, on the Swedish side of the border, for a short welcome by the local vicar and carol singing. Before dinner, at the Davvi Arctic Lodge, there will be a host's cocktail reception. Then you can relax over a board game or join one of our optional night-time safaris.

28 December

AFTER BREAKFAST, WE will head outside, where a fun-filled day awaits - from stiga racing, snow hockey, testing your strength at tug-of-war, tobogganing to throwing snowballs. Children can ride on the supervised kid's snowmobile track (see page 48). Lunch will be at the hotel between 12 and 2, with hot drinks available all day. Those wanting to warm up can join Mrs Claus's craft activities inside. Or you can play one of the board games. The highlight of the day will be when, with special boarding pass in hand, you join Santa's reindeer sleigh and set off in search of Father Christmas. During a private family meeting with Santa, each child has the chance to talk with Santa and will receive a small gift. This evening's festive dinner includes crackers, party poppers and blowers.

29 December

AFTER BREAKFAST, YOU check out ready for your last Santa safari, a 5km Husky Safari or a 1.5-hour Snowmobile Safari, whichever you did not join on December 28. Then there's time for a last play in the snow or to join a final optional excursion. Lunch will be provided at the Davvi Arctic Lodge before departing for Enontekio and our flight home.
