Itinerary:

Day One

IT'S ABOUT 10AM and you are on board ready to take off to Lapland. With your special boarding pass collected at check-in in a safe place, relax until touchdown in Enontekio when you'll board your coach with assistance from our local guides. Soak up your surroundings on the 45-minute transfer to the Davvi Arctic Lodge. This is the Northern lights route and offers some magnificent scenery. Close to Davvi Arctic Lodge, we'll stop to collect your included all-in-one thermal suits and boots. Temperatures here range between -7C and -35C in December and the thermal suits and boots are an essential part of your holiday package. After checking in the Davvi Arctic Lodge, your Transun representative will host a welcome meeting in the early evening during a welcome dinner, your rep will be on hand to speak to each family individually. Tonight, you can join one of our optional activities, such as a night safari, maybe encountering the Northern Lights. See page 14 for full details of our exciting optional safaris.

Day Two

AFTER BREAKFAST, HEAD out on your first Santa safari, either a 5km Husky Safari or a 1.5-hour Snowmobile Safari. Lunch will be provided at the hotel. In the afternoon, those with older children can take a stroll on snowshoes (like walking on tennis racquets!). Or you can enjoy the snow activities around Davvi Arctic Lodge, tobogganing, kick sledges, stigas (toboggans with steering wheels for youngsters) or old fashioned snowball fights! Or join one of our optional excursions or try the crafts available indoors. This evening, enjoy a walk across the border, to visit the most northerly church in Sweden. After a welcome by the local vicar and carol singing, we will head back to the Davvi Arctic Lodge where there will be a host's cocktail reception. Then after a relaxing dinner you can perhaps enjoy a board game or join one of our optional night-time safaris.

Day Three

AFTER BREAKFAST, OUR snow fun activities include tobogganing, guiding your own stiga, and working out how to use the kick sledges and tandem skis. You can play snow hockey or test your strength in tug-of-war. And youngsters can try the supervised kid's snowmobile track (see page 48 for further details). The activities are available throughout the day, with hot drinks available outside and in. Lunch at the hotel can be taken at leisure between 12 and 2. If you want to warm up inside, join Mrs Claus's craft activities or enjoy quality family time playing one of the many board games available. The highlight of the day arrives when, with special boarding ticket in hand, you board Santa's reindeer sleigh and set off in search of Father Christmas. During a private family meeting with Santa, each child has the chance to talk with him and will receive a small gift which will evoke special memories for years to come. And tonight, you will sit down to a festive dinner, with crackers, party poppers and blowers.

Day Four

AFTER BREAKFAST, YOU check out, ready for your last Santa safari, a 5km Husky Safari or a 1.5-hour Snowmobile safari, whichever you did not join previously. There's time for a final play in the snow or a last optional excursion before lunch and a return to Enontekio for our flight home.
